The Moto Guzzi Le Mans 850 III was produced between 1981 and 1984. It was the third generation of the legendary Le Mans series, first introduced in 1976.
The Mk III featured an air-cooled 844cc V-twin engine with double overhead camshafts and two valves per cylinder. The engine had an output of about 81 hp and was mated to a five-speed gearbox. The bike also featured a double cradle frame, adjustable Marzocchi front forks, adjustable Koni shock absorbers, Brembo brakes and alloy wheels.
One of the defining features of the Mk III is its unique design. The sharp line that extends from the top of the tank to the sides is particularly striking.
The Le Mans 850 III was a very successful model for Moto Guzzi and was praised for its sporty performance and comfortable driving experience. The model is now a sought-after collector's item among motorcycle enthusiasts and is often regarded as an iconic motorcycle of the 1980s.
The model on offer here is in good condition and was obtained from the first owner. Includes German registration.
